Klopp blamed Keita for Torino goal, but it’s harsh on Naby

It was a shame Alisson couldn’t keep a clean-sheet on his Anfield debut last night, but there was little he could do about the goal.

Andrea Belotti bulleted in a header from close-range after a De Silvestri cross, although Liverpool still won 3-1, thanks to goals from Firmino, Wijnaldum and Sturridge.

According to journalist Chris Williams, Jurgen Klopp remonstrated with Naby Keita after we conceded, telling him to give Alberto Moreno, who De Silvestri beat, more support.

If you look at the goal though, you’ll see that Moreno was actually in a one-on-one, and simply gave his opponent far too much room and space to ping in the cross.

Keita is covering an incoming runner, although could have doubled up on De Silvestri immediately.

Still, we reckon the Spaniard is more at fault, although in truth it was a brilliant cross and a fantastic header to boot.

Keita didn’t have a very good game, but the Guinean is still adapting himself to Klopp’s system and demands – as William’s tweet shows.

We have every confidence he’s going to be a jaw-dropping addition to our midfield.
