There was surprise this afternoon as Jurgen Klopp named a side that didn’t include Naby Keita for the first time this season.

Jordan Henderson came in for the Guinean for the clash against Leicester, despite Keita impressing in his first three outings.
In fairness, he was a little sloppy against Brighton last time out, and the boss has felt it right to give him a break in exchange for the skipper.
The midfield of Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner got us to the Champions League Final – so it’s hardly anything to worry about.
We’re pretty sure Keita will come off the bench, and it says a lot about our options in central midfield that Klopp can leave out a calibre of his calibre.
W… wh… whyyyy is Keita on the bench?

Where, oh where, oh where is Keita?

Keita is Liverpool’s best midfielder, it’s clear to see. Meaning he’ll be held to high standards. Relatively, he wasn’t great against Brighton. Klopp knows him personally and maybe feels dropping him will get a reaction. Be arsed with a Saturday AM meltdown
