So far this season, we’ve won our opening five Premier League games and just beat PSG in the Champions League, too.

We’ve actually not reached our best level yet, but have been doing enough to get the wins week in, week out.

Klopp though believes we’ll begin to lose points if any of his players get complacent, and warned against it today during his Melwood press-conference before the Southampton clash:

“The mood in the team is good,” he said. “If I see somebody who has lost focus I would be really angry about that. Thankfully so far nobody has given me the chance to do so. Our job is to show Southampton how difficult it is to come to Anfield.”

Southampton are not a bad side, but it’s a fixture we undoubtedly need to win if we have genuine ambitions of Premier League title glory.

Mark Hughes’ side will be without Danny Ings, thankfully, due to the fact he’s on loan from us.

As a result, Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk will likely be up against Charlie Austin and Shane Long. The former can finish and the latter is quick, but not as fast as either of our centre-backs!
