According to Tuttosport, Liverpool are one of three Premier League clubs who are interested in signing Real Madrid and Spain midfielder Isco during the summer transfer window.
The Reds, along with both Manchester clubs, are supposedly in the market for the out-of-favour number 10, who has made just 26 appearances for Real this season. Juventus have also been linked with him in recent weeks.
The 26-year-old has not played a full 90 minutes for Los Blancos since the end of October, while his only La Liga goal of the campaign came against Athletic Bilbao in September.
It is unclear why Isco has fallen down the pecking order under Santi Solari, but he has clear quality that would be a huge benefit to almost any team in the world.
The Reds never signed a Philippe Coutinho replacement during last summer, and after failing to sign Nabil Fekir, didn’t go after any other targets – Isco would be the perfect alternative.
It would be a huge statement if Michael Edwards could sign him – hopefully, he is one the club is interested in.
