Everyone knew that Liverpool had landed a massive upgrade between the sticks when Jurgen Klopp chose to spend £67 million on Alisson last summer – but now that improvement has been quantified.
After he won the Premier League Golden Glove award for keeping the most clean sheets in the division this season, Alisson has been rightly lauded for his performances.
As the tweet below shows, the Brazilian has been incredible this season, especially in comparison to the goalkeepers that the Reds have used under Klopp previously.
Alisson stopped 79% of the shots he faced. That's the best record of all Premier League goalkeepers this season.
Last season, it was 59% for Mignolet and 56% for Karius.

That is a simply stunning improvement – and an improvement which has been worth several points to the club this season.
He’s the best in the league and maybe the world, and it must not be forgotten that the Reds might have been knocked out in the Champions League group stage had he not pulled off a point-blank stop from Arkadiusz Milik in the game at Anfield against Napoli.
There have been so many star performers this season that it’s hard to pinpoint the one who has made the most significant difference – but Alisson is certainly in the conversation.
