Watch Klopp’s face as he sees Griezmann messaging Firmino on Champions League victory parade

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, who has already confirmed he wants to leave the Spanish club this summer, has sent Reds fans into meltdown after he interacted with Roberto Firmino during the Champions League victory parade.

Firmino was live on Instagram during the parade through Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, with Reds fans spotting that Griezmann waved at him. Jurgen Klopp also saw the comment, as this tweet shows.

After the scenes on Merseyside on Sunday, who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? There’s no club quite like it when it comes to support.

It’s not the first time that Griezmann has been linked with a move after interacting with Firmino, either. This happened back in October 2018.

It would take a world-class signing to improve the squad this summer, hence why few names have been reliably linked.

Griezmann certainly would fit the bill in terms of his footballing ability, although it would take a huge fee and he is now 28, a little older than the Reds would normally go for – Barcelona is still his probable destination.

It seems highly unlikely that the forward will be lining up alongside Firmino for the Reds next season – but you never know!
