Bruno Fernandes is a name which has featured very frequently in gossip columns over the last few weeks, with a bid of £40 million rumoured to have been submitted for the Sporting Lisbon midfielder by the Reds.
Tottenham and Manchester United are believed to be leading the chase for the creative Portuguese, who averaged exactly one goal or assist per league game last season (20 goals and 13 assists in 33 appearances).
With few updates since that supposed bid – the only bid on the table from any club at this stage – one Reds fan believes he has an explanation.
To be fair, it’s a very convincing and thorough story that makes a lot of sense. Perhaps we’re reading too much into it in the hope that it’s true, but a lot of the details seem to add up on the face of it.
Rafa Camacho, a ‘Liverpool tax’ and an upcoming increased bid from Michael Edwards; it’s certainly impressive if someone has completely made this up.

Have a few final updates on Bruno Fernandes. Before I begin I want to apologise for getting some of my information wrong. One of the most bizarre transfer stories in recent memory in a lot of ways. Misjudged the timing of the deal.
