Massive news: ‘Very good’ Italian source make Nicolas Pepe and LFC claim – but there’s a catch

CalcioNapoli24 claim that Liverpool are one of four clubs to have reached an ‘agreement in principle’ for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.

Via Sport Witness, who say the source are ‘very good on their local club’ (Napoli), CalcioNapoli24 claim to have checked out the claim the Reds are in for Pepe, finding out that Napoli, the Reds and two other unnamed clubs already have a deal in place with Lille for his transfer.

CalcioNapoli24 also say that the next stage of the deal is for Pepe to choose where he ends up – but they claim that agents fees will be ‘decisive’ in the matter.

If that is the case, we can see the Reds moving away from any potential deal. Jurgen Klopp would only want Pepe added into the Reds’ squad if the winger was there for the right reasons – and agent fees certainly don’t come under that category.

This isn’t the last we’ve heard on this deal, but a conclusion, it seems, could well be imminent.
