Pundit has an interesting theory about potential Reds transfers that fans will enjoy

Tony Cascarino says he still believes Liverpool will make ‘one or two’ signings this summer – despite all the reliable sources pointing to that not being the case.

Jurgen Klopp has repeatedly made it clear that he is happy with the squad that he has, but many Reds fans would like to see another couple of signings come in.

Cascarino says he firmly believes that could still materialise because as the window goes on, players that were not available to begin with might pop up on the market as movements elsewhere take place.

Speaking on TalkSport, via HITC, he said: “As much as Liverpool are very, very quiet, I still think they will make a signing or maybe two. I don’t think they will go through this whole window with not really bringing in any players.

“As we get to the final day, there are clubs waiting in the wings. Sometimes out of nowhere people become available. The vultures that these clubs are, once they see a move that’s possible [they’ll go for it].

“Liverpool standards are very high. Where they are now, they are competing for really good footballers. They might make a steal on someone.”

We’d very much like it to be true, but it seems more likely that no one else will be incoming as it stands. At a push, there might be one man who arrives, but even that seems highly unlikely.

That might seem like a massive risk, but Klopp and Michael Edwards know best and deserve to be trusted. Whatever they choose to do, they deserve to be fully backed in that choice.
