Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara says Liverpool have now moved beyond Adam Lallana as he brutally dismissed the England international ahead of the new season.
O’Hara is a big fan of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, saying he will be ‘like a new signing’ this season, but was less enthusiastic about the number 20.
Speaking to TalkSport, via HITC, O’Hara said: “The thing is they have got Oxlade-Chamberlain coming back. So, he’s going to feel like a new signing for them. He was pretty much out of the whole of last season for them.
“I mean Lallana, I think they have gone above Lallana now if I am honest. No disrespect to him.”
O’Hara is not the only pundit – or fan – to hold this opinion, but there is a reason that Jurgen Klopp and the rest of the Reds squad love Lallana.

His off-field impact and leadership is valuable to the team, and while his injuries mean he can’t play every single week, when he is fit, he has a lot of quality to offer.
It’s hardly helpful to keep slating him – he’s here to stay for at least another season, and his role is an important one, even if he’s not always going to play from the start.
