Everything you need to know with the Reds set to find out cup opponents tonight

Tonight will see the draw for the third round of the Carabao Cup, with the Reds set to find out their opponents as the Premier League sides competing in Europe this season enter the fray.

Last year, the Reds lost to an Eden Hazard-inspired Chelsea at Anfield at this stage of the tournament, so Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for an easier tie this time around.

That would also allow fringe players like Rhian Brewster, Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri the chance of some minutes.

When’s the draw?

The draw will take place following Everton’s game at Lincoln this evening.

How can I watch it?

The draw will take place live on Sky Sports Main Event in the UK, and we’ll be providing coverage as well.

When the matches take place?

The third-round ties will either be on September 24 or 25 – to be decided after the draw has been completed.

Which number ball are the Reds?

Liverpool’s name will be on ball number three. Arsenal are number one, Chelsea are number two, Manchester United are number five and Spurs are number six. Everton are number 22 provided they get through.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are number four – it’d be nice to avoid another clash with them!
