Tammy Abraham has declared that Chelsea will ‘take their anger out against Liverpool’ after they were beaten in their opening Champions League fixture.
Frank Lampard’s side lost 1-0 at home to Valencia, with Ross Barkley missing a penalty.
Like the Reds, they are keen to produce a response on Sunday after a frustrating night.
Abraham, who admitted the Chelsea dressing room was left ‘fuming’ with the result, wants to channel the fury into motivation for a huge game at Stamford Bridge.
“It’s a test of character,” he said. “We can take our anger out against Liverpool. We’ll look forward to putting things right.”

Abraham is the league’s top scorer after sensationally netting seven goals in his last three matches.
And he personally has a point to prove after Adrian decisively saved his penalty in the close-run UEFA Super Cup last month.
While this weekend’s test may seem very tricky, you can expect the Reds to rise to the occasion as they too seek to make amends for a rare loss.
And if both teams are as hungry as each other, there’s probably only one winner.
