Peter Crouch’s simple Andy Robertson tweet spot on after Scot’s lung-busting performance

We really hope our manic left-back is fit in time for Saturday, but thank goodness we had him tonight!

Andy Robertson put in a scintillating attacking performance down the left-flank, which included a breathtaking goal.

He picked the ball up in midfield and kept on running into the box – eventually turning home Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pinpoint cross.

Following that moment, and a few others of note, Peter Crouch said it better than we can!

Robbo’s performances and the amount of effort he puts into every one of them make us a little worried that we’ve no similar backup – but Jurgen Klopp trusts his left-back’s fitness and thinks James Milner is capable as a deputy.

The ageing vice-captain was a real calm head in a frantic midfield when he came on and has proven before he can do a job as a left-back.

His speed and crossing (with his wrong foot) is not on a par to Robbo’s, however.

Still, when you’ve got the best left-back on the planet, perhaps you shouldn’t complain!
