Kevin de Bruyne is probably the best midfielder in the Premier League, although yesterday, Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson were his superior!
Liverpool dominated the central battle on our way to winning 3-1 at Anfield and creating an eight point lead at the top of the table.
After the game, footage has emerged of De Bruyne staying in the tunnel to chat with Mo Salah, a former team-mate of his at Chelsea, and a smiling Jurgen Klopp – who joins the party.
We’d love to be a fly on the wall to hear what they discussed, but sadly we can only guess.
De Bruyne openly admits he was a big Liverpool fan growing up [Manchester Evening News], but it would be spurious of us to suggest there’s some kind of tapping up going on, here!
We just hope De Bruyne took the result better than his former captain Vincent Kompany, whose bitter punditry for Sky Sports irritated us plenty.
