It was a perfect night on the pitch but Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Bobby Firmino missed the Manchester United game due to injury.

Speaking with Sky Sports (via liverpoolfc.com), the 54-year-old said: “Bobby was not involved because in the very last situation of the City game he got something on his foot. It’s not really bad.”

“Actually, we were a bit worried but the scan was fine. But it’s still very painful and that’s why there was no chance [against Man United].”

Seeing as we’re in such good form and with massive games on the horizon, maybe the 30-year-old could sit out against Frank Lampard’s side and focus on the final four weeks of the season afterwards.
