  1. Whether Rafa leaves or not…Riera must be dumped, he is a bully..Sorry Antoine..that (revival) should not be done!! Bye Bye Riera!!

  2. I agree with kaustav on that one, any player who has a dig at his manager and /or club doesn’t deserve to have another chance.

  3. So the players who have had a dig at our “club” in regards to our management should be dumped as well? Bye bye Torres then, Stevie G will be on his way out. Riera made a bad mistake we are all aware of this, and he hasn’t been selected got how long???? We are all complaining that we don’t have any width or lack of players to fill in positions surely we are cutting or nose of to spite our face here with him. He is one of the only natural wingers we currenty have who can actually play to the wing and pull apart defenders. I’m not defending his actions but then should we take john Toshack from our history books because he had a go?

  4. Thanks for the memories Rafa. I think the time has come to thank Rafa for his service and for progressing the club and to welcome fresh blood to the club. While I am all too aware of media commentary suggesting that Torres and Stevie G no longer want to work with Rafa, these must be taken with a large pinch of salt, however, if there is any truth in such articles then I’m sorry Rafa but I’m calling you a cab!

We all know this season has been a nightmare and I’m personally glad that it’s almost over. But when you look back no one can really say we deserved anything more. We were awful against A. Madrid and to be honest the right PL team made I to the final – our squad depth is not to the LFC standard.

As for our new manager, I have always said Gus Hindink would be ideal, but has he is otherwise employed my choice would be ‘the special one’. He would be ideal for us and our style of football would certainly be entertaining.

So, to the Yanks I say sell up and fast, to the board I ask that the proper checks are put in place so that we avoid another Tom and George disaster and to Rafa I say thanks for your service – I will be sorry to see him go, but go he must.

  5. Current environment, I expect every person associated with the club to be linked with a move away. Its one never ending open day for pot shots by all the media. We have serious problems but they are mainly due to the amounts of unprecedented media hatred towards the club.

Financially, our situation is not good as we have suffered the credit crunch more than others because the chairmen took a loan out a totally the wrong time. I dont know if they just thought that they were exempt to world economics, being American, or just completely foolhardy and not giving a care about the consequences of their actions to the people who they made committments to when becoming “custodians” of the club. Either way we find ourselves with this problem but being the most hated club by the media it is Liverpool Football Club that is always the club to be singled out as the worst case senario and being in the worst position. Seldom do we hear about Manure’s even higher debt and their problems but the media delight in reporting about ours every day.

Our Manager has had to tread a fine line between the current board, the media. a few selfish, moronic players who have fed the media and now it seems a large number of idiot fans that have no concept of where we are and what plans we have for the future (who would rather be lead by what the haters happily print and report everyday). I honestly, would fully understand if Rafa left. I personally am proud to have him as our manager and I am so pleased that he hasn’t left and hope that he never does.
Rafa loves the Reds, possibly even more than I do myself with his constant switched on attitude and yet some people cant see it and get drawn into the blame game, fuelled by the media, and want to get rid of him.
I dont know what happend to our fans but I have lost so much respect for so many of them this season it hurts. All I can think of is that as the club’s fanbase grows internationally we tend to dilute the core Liverpool fans with fans who either dont understand what it means to be a Liverpool Fan or just fans who follow liverpool rather than love the club. That and the media hyped expectation at the start of the season and the threat of the mancs getting a 19th title has been too much for many ardent fans to cope with.

Anyway, expect more stories to come out daily over the next few weeks and months reporting that everyone and anyone is leaving the club for one reason or another, so just ignore them but above all stay positive and support the club you love.

    IN RAFA WE TRUST!

  6. @ Steve, Torres and Gerrard asked the club to invest, they didn’t go and speak as stupidly Riera did..
    Bid Riera GOOD RIDDANCE..!!

you can stop being ridiculous, steve..We are not cutting our noses, Riera would have done nothing on the pitch, as he has his mind elsewhere..after all those statements about “sinking ship”..it is time to give riera ” an air trip” to some other club for Good..
