In the wake of Sunday’s humiliating defeat, the Liverpool squad have travelled to Dubai to try and put the Britannia bloodbath behind them. However, Brendan Rodgers has remained at home, as he prepares for crunch talks with the club’s owners.
According to the Daily Mail, the players are staying in a five-star hotel before they depart for a post-season tour of Asia and Australia. One young fan managed to get a photo with winger Raheem Sterling as he arrived. The 20-year-old faces an uncertain future at the club, of course.

Rodgers will join his players at a later date. First though, the boss has to attend the LMA dinner in London on Tuesday, but then he will meet with Fenway Sports Group’s second largest investor Mike Gordon, the Mail report.
While the report suggests that his job is not in any immediate danger, the club’s hierarchy are keen to get to the bottom of the difficult season, that saw us go from one of the title favourites to sixth in the space of 38 Premier League games.
