Liverpool are highly unlikely to make a move for Koln’s German left-back Jonas Hector this summer.

According to James Pearce in the Echo, we do not believe him to worth the purported £20 million that Koln would demand.

However, Klopp himself is not ruling out further activity:

“Is the activity all over? I have no idea,” said the boss.

“I don’t think so. We will see what happens.”

We’ve been linked with a never-ending conveyor belt of left-backs this summer, including Ben Chilwell (Telegraph), Andy Robertson (Echo), Charlie Taylor (Star), Mattia de Sciglio (gazzettadiparma.it), and Jetro Willems (Mirror) – but none have come to fruition so far.

Klopp has been playing Milner there in the recent friendlies – but whether or not the former City man has the defensive wherewithal to play there on a long-term basis is a point of contention amongst fans.
