Liverpool get massive boost ahead of Spurs clash – Philippe Coutinho is set to start

Posted by

Philippe Coutinho is set to start as we face Spurs at White Hart Lane in the early kickoff on Saturday.

It was thought that a hamstring might have kept him out of contention, but the ever-reliable Paul Joyce in the Express has said he is expected to be fit.

It will be a massive boost for Klopp, who is already without Emre Can and Divock Origi, as well as a host of longer-term absentees.

Coutinho will now probably line up on the left-hand side of the attacking midfielders. The only question mark is whether Daniel Sturridge or Roberto Firmino will lead the line.

Coutinho has started the season in solid form, bagging two wonderful goals against Arsenal on the opening day.

He’s also one of the few first teamers who’s benefitted from a full week of rest after not being involved against Burton in midweek.
