Daniel Sturridge’s next club is expected to be announced later this week, according to The Telegraph, who report that 13 clubs across three different continents are in the running for his signature.

According to the report, the one place he is not likely to end up is the Premier League, having already played for the Reds, Manchester City and Chelsea, as well as West Bromwich Albion on loan.

Fenerbahce in Turkey have offered a contract worth £9 million in total (£60,000-per-week), while there is also interest from DC United in MLS, Real Betis, Bologna, Marseille, Besiktas and clubs in Qatar.

Links to the US make perfect sense, as he spends a lot of time on that side of the Atlantic, while there is a link to the Reds in Fenerbahce, where Damien Comolli, the former Liverpool director of football is in charge of signings.

Wherever he ends up deciding to move to, we wish him the best of luck. Sturridge has had an excellent career so far, and there’s still plenty of time left for him to achieve even more.
