Brazil have qualified for the World Cup after beating Argentina 3-1.

(Lucas was an unused sub however you got to give the kid credit, being on the bench of the Brazil first team is still a big deal)

The other big World Cup qualifying story was the 5-0 trashing of Belgium by Spain.
Both Riera & Torres featured, Torres did hit the crossbar once and then later a shot by El Nino was deflected by Villa and hit the upright. Villa & Silva both scored two goals each which left many of us Reds drooling and wishing they had signed up for us.

Stevie G and Glen Johnson both featured for England in the 2-0 win over Slovenia.

The big story here was that Wayne Rooney dived to obtain a penalty. I wonder what Fergie thinks about it, I know how much he loves England. I think Wayne might have a couple of boots flying in his direction when he returns to El Supremo.

Michel Platini will continue his campaign of hate towards English clubs.
(He is using the Chelsea transfer ban as an excuse to implement more cruel sanctions.)
