According to our official website, player recruitment is well underway, with several big names already confirmed. Both current and former Liverpool favourites will be included, as will several other Premier League stars past and present.

In the team below, we’ve put together a Charity Dream Team XI, based on the names which have already been confirmed. For the sake of consistency, we’ve even put them in our now traditional 3-4-3 formation!

Check out the team below:

GK) Pepe Reina

The Spanish international played almost 400 games for Liverpool during an eight-year stay at Anfield, which officially ended last summer following a loan move to Napoli. The 32-year-old is now with Bayern Munich.

RCB) Glen Johnson

The 30-year-old England international has been a teammate of Gerrard since moving to the Reds in 2009. The former Chelsea and Portsmouth defender has since racked up 191 games in all competitions.

CB) Martin Skrtel

Another long-serving star of the current Reds team. The Slovakian joined us from Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2008, and has since made 283 appearances. Skrtel has also captained us in the past, when Gerrard has been absent.

LCB) Daniel Agger

It’ll be great to see the Dane back at Anfield. A real Liverpool hero, an excellent defender in his day, and a wonderful person, too. John Terry has also committed to play – but we’re not putting him in over Daniel!
