Bemused Jamie Carragher jokes about Liverpool’s fixture list on Twitter

Former Liverpool great Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to express his amusement at Liverpool’s somewhat unfortunate list of Premier League fixtures, which have been announced today ahead of the 2015-16 season.

Nine players we’d like to see involved in any Sterling swap deal, with Manchester City & Chelsea stars

The Reds certainly face a rather challenging start to the season, especially away from home, where our first seven games will certainly prove testing.

After beginning our campaign at the Britannia Stadium – a venue where we lost 6-1 last season – we then travel to Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Carragher was certainly unimpressed and took to Twitter to joke…

On the plus side, we will arguably be done with our seven most challenging games of the season by the end of November. If we can head into December either in or within touching distance of the top four, then things will be looking very positive indeed.

Either way, it’s going to be a make or break couple of months for Brendan Rodgers, who will know that he needs to start well. He’s probably going to be cursing that fixture list more than anybody but I don’t think anyone will be questioning his position if he comes out of it looking good.
