Christian Poulsen
Fair enough, you can have this one Mail. The Dane was an unparalleled flop at Anfield and a signing that really summed up Roy Hodgson’s disastrous and short-lived spell in charge. He made just 12 Premier League appearances for us in total and was eventually sold to French side Evian at the end of his first season with us.
Sean Dundee
Who? The South African-born striker made just three league appearances for the Reds before he returned to Germany, where he continued to enjoy success throughout his career. Considering the £2m transfer fee it seems harsh to include what was, realistically, a low-priced gamble in a list of worst signings. Rickie Lambert, anyone?
