(Video) Steven Gerrard sends Liverpool players good luck message from LA

Steven Gerrard has taken time out from his no doubt busy LA schedule to wish his former Liverpool teammates the best of luck for the season ahead, with our new campaign starting later this afternoon.

Ironically, we’ll be visiting the site of Gerrard’s final goal and final game as a Liverpool player, the Britannia Stadium. It’s a venue that will hold few other good memories for our playing staff, as they look to avenge last year’s 6-1 humbling.

Gerrard, now playing in the MLS with LA Galaxy, also passed on his best wishes to manager Brendan Rodgers and the club’s supporters – telling us that he hopes we have some silverware to celebrate come May.

So do we Stevie, so do we!

The iconic 35-year-old midfielder has made three league appearances for his new side thus far, scoring once, while he’s struck up a promising partnership with former Liverpool striker Robbie Keane.
