Liverpool fans took to Twitter today ahead of this evening’s Arsenal clash to express their opinions on Adam Lallana’s latest injury.
Rumours are circulating Twitter today that the £25m Englishman has suffered yet another setback, a thigh problem that will see him out for three to four weeks – backed up by the Daily Mail – although there’s no official word from the club yet.
This will likely see Roberto Firmino make his first start for the club, supporting Coutinho behind Christian Benteke.
Lallana’s debut season was affected by consistent injury problems, but he has previously spoken about how he’s raring to go for the new campaign and feeling fit and healthy.
This latest news will be a significant blow to the player and Brendan Rodgers, who rates the former Southampton skipper very highly.
While some fans were disappointed, others reacted not so kindly…
This was meant to be Lallana’s breakthrough year… Another injury, 27 years old, in his ‘prime’ now. Time’s running out Adam!

Adam Lallana set for a few weeks on the sidelines. Surely Firmino set for a start now? pic.twitter.com/pKDF7tvSpN

Adam Lallana injured? Loves an injury or ten him. Didn’t realise he was like this at Southampton.

Pedro was £4m less than we paid for Adam Lallana. Just let that sink in.

Some reports that Lallana is out for 4 weeks. I wish I cared more but I simply don’t. He just doesn’t do enough to warrant starting

With Lallana out, hopefully Firmino starts tonight.

I’m not the biggest fan of Lallana but to wish injury on someone or to be happy that he is injured is not right.
