Liverpool youngster recalled from loan for disciplinary issue

Lawrence Vigouroux is heading back to Liverpool from Swindon Town due to a disciplinary matter, cutting short his season long loan deal, the manager of the League One club Mark Cooper confirmed.

The young goalkeeper has been doing well for the minnows, but has now returned to Liverpool – although it’s currently uncertain whether we recalled him or Swindon sent him back.

“It’s a disciplinary internal matter,” Cooper told reporters, cited by the Echo.

“I’m not sure if he is (available on Tuesday).

“It’s come from me and the rest of the players. It won’t (cause an issue now) it’s been dealt with.”

The 21-year-old, who’s of Chilean descent, played well for the Liverpool-U21 side last term and the management decided it was time for him to test his mettle at senior level down the leagues.

Disappointingly though, it appears that he’s let himself down – although it would perhaps be unfair to judge yet before details of the disciplinary issue surface.

Swindon are now in trouble keeper wise, with former Liverpool academy player Ty Belford the only stopper currently at the club.

Vigouroux arrived at Anfield from Spurs in 2014, but it’s now unsure what the future holds for him.
