Liverpool goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux has left the club after making his Swindon Town loan move a permanent transfer.

He’s been at the club since 2014 when we snapped him up from Spurs on a free transfer, but he failed to make a first team appearance.

The Chilean stopper spent last season on loan at Swindon in League One, making 36 appearances over the course of the campaign.

The Echo report that the 22-year-old’s Swindon career was almost over before it began after he was sent back to Liverpool for paying £50 training fine with 5,000 pennies.

He was ultimately recalled after showing remorse. “Lawrence is going to come back, he is very humble and very apologetic,” said then manager Mark Cooper at the time.

“He knows the way he behaved was wrong and he has been in the changing room after the game and apologised to the players.

“I thought it was brilliant banter, but in the context it was the wrong way to go about it. We are giving him a second chance, and I’m sure he will be grateful.”
