Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have much in common, and the bonds between the two clubs has now grown stronger upon Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield appointment.
The German spent seven years with BVB, winning two Bundesliga titles and reaching the Champions League final before he left at the end of last season.
Both clubs are known for an exceptional, passionate fanbase and a working class, football crazy city. Dortmund even sing a version of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ before kick off…
And it’s now our job to help Klopp be as successful on Merseyside as he was in his homeland.
Dortmund wished him luck via Twitter, while Liverpool thanked our European friends in response.
