Not only is it funny, but sheds some light on the relationship the pair share. Mourinho famously tried to sign Gerrard on three occasions, and our legendary former captain explained why he spurned his advances – despite admitting he was tempted.
Towards the end, the interview takes a more relaxed tone, and some of Gerrard’s friends, including John Bishop and Wayne Rooney ask him embarrassing questions.
Bishop asks Gerrard to explain his FA Cup injury versus Bournemouth, when the midfielder ‘lacerated his penis’ during a slide tackle!
Remarkably, he stayed on the field, and told the grimacing audience the bloody tale.
