Good news, Liverpool fans: Flags will be back on the Kop today after successful meeting

The atmosphere should be brilliant today at Anfield.

It’s a Boxing Day fixture, finally a 3PM kick-off, and best of all – the Spion Kop group have resolved their issue with the club and will be allowed fly flags against Leicester.

The lack of flags has been really noticeable recently, but thankfully they’ll be out on show against the Premier League table-toppers, as Jurgen Klopp’s men look to bounce back from last weekend’s miserable defeat to Watford.

The Spion Kop group tweeted the news this morning, encouraging supporters to meet and help welcoming the side onto the pitch.

Let’s hope this is as good an omen as it appears.

Our last home fixture was a 2-2 draw with West Brom, and while the result wasn’t ideal – the atmosphere created was probably the best of the season. So much so that Jurgen Klopp made a point of thanking the supporters after the game, as reported here in the Mirror.

Ideally though, we’d have secured the victory early on, and we won’t need to rely on a Divock Origi injury time equaliser to salvage a point!
