It’s February, but the transfer rumours keep on coming!

According to an exclusive report by Goal’s Melissa Reddy, who broke the Allan Rodrigues to Belgium story, Liverpool are one of the clubs leading the race to sign Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.

The 17-year-old is Monaco’s youngest ever Ligue 1 goalscorer, having broken Thierry Henry’s longstanding record of 21 years.

The report links Real Madrid, Arsenal and PSG to his services, so if we’re to capture Mbappe we’ll have to beat off some serious competition for his signature.

He’ll only cost us a tribunal fee, as he’s out of contract at the end of the season.

Mbappe is a centre-forward, but can play on the flanks as well. He’s rapid, tricky and enjoys running with the ball at his feet, looking to shoot on goal with his right-foot.

He’s got a bit of Anthony Martial about him, Man United’s ridiculously expensive French forward, not that we like making comparisons to players from said particular club.

Jurgen Klopp has already shown a penchant for working with young players since he took over, giving first-team debuts to a plethora of teenagers already.

He’s signed Marko Grujic and Joel Matip for the summer already, but will surely reinforce plenty further.
