Jurgen Klopp suggests he’ll stay at Liverpool for rest of his career

Jurgen Klopp has reinvigorated a struggling, quiet, disorientated fanbase in just seven months since arriving from Germany.

He’s now reached two Cup finals and transformed Anfield from a library into a blistering fortress of noise, unity and passion.

Klopp promised to turn us from ‘doubters into believers’, and last night’s semi-final will go down as another example that he was telling the truth.

Just as we did before the Borussia Dortmund quarterfinal, supporters lined the streets to welcome the team bus from 6pm onwards, and worked up a feverish, brilliant atmosphere inside the ground.

And these recent Klopp quotes stir up even more feeling, now exaggerated by the fact we’re in a European Final on May 18th.

“I rejected clubs but I said when Liverpool came I would go, I can’t tell you why but I wouldn’t have gone to any other club,” he said.

“Maybe I’ll stay like this for the rest of my career. Just three wonderful clubs.”

Klopp spent seven years at Mainz, seven at Dortmund, and we’d love him to replicate that at Liverpool.

It’s clear that if we stick by the German, Liverpool will become great again – whether it’s this season, next, or the one after. The number of brilliant moments he’s already given us is crazy – and hopefully in two weeks’ time we’ll get another in Basel.
