Liverpool’s team to face West Brom on the final day of the Premier League season is going to be nowhere near our strongest one, but it’ll be a mighty interesting one if comments from Jurgen Klopp in today’s press conference are anything to go by.

The boss confirmed that Spanish teenager Sergi Canos was being brought into first-team training ahead of the trip to the Hawthorns, and was in contention for minutes. The 19-year-old has returned from his loan spell with Brentford, having lit up the Championship on the right flank.

What’s more, Klopp claimed that injured trio Jordan Henderson, Divock Origi and Danny Ings could play some part also.

Ings hasn’t featured once under Jurgen Klopp having damaged knee ligaments in the German’s first training session, and fans will be over the moon to see the young Englishman back on the pitch – after he made an exciting start to life at Anfield before injury cruelly ruined his season.

Origi and Henderson haven’t been out for long, but will surely need some time on the pitch on Sunday if they’re to at least make the bench for the Europa League Final against Sevilla next Wednesday.

Journalists from the Echo, Ian Doyle and James Pearce, tweeted the news live:
