Clive Tydlsley has been admonished on Twitter for a piece of commentary which was, at best, ridiculously overzealous, and at worst, inappropriate and insensitive.
After England finally broke the deadlock 73 minutes into their Euro 2016 opener against Russia last night, the voice of ITV football said the goal was “justice for the England 11.”
Justice, for me Clive https://t.co/gVE6GdTLpE

Some Liverpool fans are angry that Tydlsley so loosely used the phrase which has become synonymous with the 26-year campaign to get justice for the 96 people who died in the Hillsborough disaster. Only the 61-year-old will know if he did that deliberately, but it did seem a very blatant choice of words, and the Twitter Kop rightly feel that he should be ashamed of himself.
