So has there been an offer, is there an offer in the pipeline, has an offer been rejected, or is it all rubbish…?
FSG are having none of it, but respected journalists published the news last night and we’d be surprised if it was entirely made up.
Rumours of a £700m potential takeover bid from Chinese investment group SinoFortone were published by reputed outlets, but the Echo is confident our owners have no plans to sell.

Problem with the SinoFortone news is that journos and publications we respect are saying completely opposite things. Bid? No bid? Rejected?

Sinofortone running a £10bn project for a London theme park. A £5bn project with Scottish Government. Why would they penny pinch for #LFC?

Do not expect #LFC to see to #SinoFortone. The Chinese sports direct; embroiled In fraud accusations and in bed with Scottish government.
