Liverpool very keen on Celta Vigo frontman, according to sources

We are believed to be extremely keen on snapping up Celta Vigo striker Nolito – according to TalkSport.

The 29-year-old has been in fine form for the Spanish side this season, and has been attracting interest from clubs such as Barcelona and Arsenal.

Interestingly, the player spent three seasons at the Catalan side between 2008 and 2011. At one point it was thought he was certainly set to return, but Celta Vigo rejected the club’s bid.

The striker has a release clause of £13.6 million and TalkSport report that both ourselves and the Gunners are prepared to pay the necessary fee.

He has scored 39 goals in 103 games for Celta Vigo since joining 2o13 – taking his all-time career record to 106 goals in 370 matches.

Does a 29-year-old with a career record of a goal every four games represent a good buy for Liverpool, or should we be spending our money elsewhere? Let us know in the comments.
