Christian Benteke has emerged as one of Juventus’ top transfer targets this summer.

The Serie A giants recently lost Alvaro Morata to Real Madrid after the Spanish side activated their £30 million buy-back clause. That’s left Juve with a striker shortage and a wad of cash burning a hole in their pockets.

And according to Italian website Tuttosport, Benteke is their number one option.

It is thought they were originally keen on Uruguayan star Edinson Cavani, but PSG would want considerably more than the £30 million they have available, and either way, the player is keen to stay in France and fight for his place under soon-to-be new boss Unai Emery.

They have also earmarked Everton’s Romelu Lukaku as an option, but he would cost more than Marseille’s Batshuayi, thus deterring them.

It is not clear how much we want for Benteke, but it is known Klopp is prepared to accept a loss on the player who cost £32.5 million just 12 months ago.
