It’s not like it was a big secret, but after completing his medical on Monday Sadio Mane has officially been announced as a Liverpool player, according to the BBC.

Mane had his medical on Monday ahead of his reported £30m move (via the Echo), and from then on it was only a matter of time before the announcement was made.
The 24-year-old looks to be a superb acquisition, as he fills a gap we’ve had in the side for a while. Jurgen Klopp’s style of play demands quality and pace on the wings which we just didn’t have before Mane arrived. We had too many players with a tendency to drift inside and plug the midfield and the No.10 area, and hopefully the Senegalese international will allow Klopp to really make his mark at Liverpool.
He’s already made a handful of signings in attempt to mould the team in his image, with Mane clearly set to be our marquee signing this summer. It will be fantastic to see them all line up together both in pre-season and once the campaign begins, and hopefully we see another few names through the door before the Premier League gets underway.
