Jurgen Klopp & his agent’s feeling on Liverpool’s new contract offer revealed; Barrett explains why it’s come about

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp appears likely to sign the new contract on the table for him, thankfully.

Last night, news broke that FSG had decided to offer the German a new deal, less than one year into his current four year agreement, in a bid to tie him down long-term and secure his and our future.

Tony Barrett, a respected source when it comes to Liverpool, claimed in the Times that Klopp and his agent Marc Kosicke are ‘receptive’, with the boss settled and happy with life on Merseyside.

Liverpool finished eighth in the Premier League last term, but made the League Cup and Europa League Finals, sadly losing to Manchester City and Sevilla respectively.

That was what Klopp was capable of doing with an inherited squad, so now he’s settled, it’ll be this coming season where we can properly judge him. We’re without European football, so fans will demand a significantly improved league finish – with top four the minimum expectation despite the intense competition the Manchester clubs, as well as Arsenal, Spurs and champions Leicester, will provide.
