Jurgen Klopp has admitted that out friendly against Fleetwood is the first time he’s seen Marko Grujic live.

The Serbian centre midfielder, who was brought in from Red Star Belgrade last January but immediately loaned back to his parent club, is currently making his first appearance in a Liverpool shirt.

“He’s been in training for a few days, he’s a young lad too and it’s quite hard for him too,” Klopp said (via Echo).

“He’s a good boy. He’s shown already in training he’s a good technician & a powerful player. But, it’s the first time I’m seeing him play live apart from our training.

“We’ll see if he struggles, if he fights back, all these things.”

Klopp also underplayed the importance of tonight’s game, saying it was more about physical preparation than the result:

“It’s not about the result. I want to win tonight, but we have other results. We see the game , judge it and work with it so it’s more. Today we should use the game to do something really special on a physical side and hopefully we can do it.”
