Sergi Canos has agreed terms with Norwich City ahead of a £2.5 million move to East Anglia.

According to the Independent, the Spaniard has signed a four-year contract with the Championship side after rejecting the overtures from Bristol City, Fulham, and Brentford.

It’s probably a wise move from Canos – Bristol City and Brentford have never been Premier League sides, while Fulham’s only direction has been down since Muhammed Al Fayed sold the club. Norwich have been in an out of the top flight in recent years and will go into the new season as one of the promotion favourites.

Canos spent last season on loan at Brentford and won their ‘Goal of the Season’ award. He returned to Melwood in time to make his Liverpool debut in the final game of the season against West Brom and his future at the club looked bright, but the situation quickly soured over the summer.

He was entering the final year of his deal and we were only prepared to offer him £3,000 per week, prompting him to seek a move.
