Chelsea leapfrog Man United as most hated club in Premier League

Posted by

We famously have a long standing hatred of Manchester united and Everton, but the Red Devils have recently dropped to second in the list of most hated clubs in the Premier League (via Goal).

United have always been hated by the majority of the Premier League, with their fans making it extremely hard to feel anything but animosity towards them.

They are now behind Chelsea in the rankings though, with the Blues fans and the club’s attitude towards signings and the transfer market propelling them up the list.

Somewhat surprisingly we are third in the list, ahead of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham. This seems pretty strange, as in our experience fans of other teams often seem to be of the opinion that if their side can’t win the Premier League, they’d like to see us clinch the title.

The poll was only done with 10,000 fans, so there’s no telling how accurate it is – especially as we don’t know where the fans are even from. It also reveals the least hated clubs too though, with some predictable names at the foot of the table.

Bournemouth, Leicester City, Burnley, Watford, Southampton, and Swansea City make up the bottom six teams, and in all honesty it’s hard to genuinely dislike any of those teams.

Chelsea and Manchester United deserve their top spots as they are thoroughly detestable clubs, but it would be interesting to see how far ahead the two are compared to us in third.
