Klopp stresses the one area Liverpool can improve after Chelsea win

Posted by

We have just beaten Chelsea 2-1 to underline what has been a wonderful start to the new season.

The Burnley game aside, we’ve looked vibrant, threatening, and full of life – and today was no different.

The attackers were intelligent, the midfield was tireless, and the defence was resolute.

But still wasn’t quite all perfect – the Chelsea could, and probably should, have been avoided. After they scored we looked a bit nervous for ten minutes and you sensed that they might grab an equaliser, but we held on for a massive three points.

Klopp was full of praise for the performance, but said there was still work to be done on our game management.

“We were quick in mind. We did really well. We deserved the lead at half-time”, he said (BBC).

“We have to learn how to manage the game plan. So often this season Chelsea scored in the last few seconds with a direct style. But I can’t remember too many chances from them. We had a few moments where we weren’t so good but that’s normal against a good team.”

The win moves us up to ten points and fourth in the table – behind second place Everton and third place Everton on goal difference.

Everton play Middlesborough at home on Saturday.
