Klopp jokes about when he’ll reveal which keeper is playing against Hull

Posted by

We’re just a couple of days ahead of what could be a make or break moment in Simon Mignolet’s Liverpool career.

If he’s dropped for the upcoming Hull game, surely there will be no way back into the first team for him? Karius will keep ten clean sheets on the trot and we’ll all get German flags tattooed onto our foreheads before the season is over.

Or not.

Karius could suffer a dip in form or an injury, and Simon might be called upon again.

Klopp says he doesn’t see the battle in clearcut terms and refused to be drawn on when he’d name his side – only joking saying he let the keepers know before kickoff!

“That’s possible but with a goalkeeper I accept that things seem to be a bit different.

“It’s like in all positions, if you play and you win 2-0, you could still change the midfielder thinking we could win the next game 3-0.

“When will I tell them who is starting? Early enough. It will be before the game for sure,” Klopp joked. (Echo)

We’re at a loss to know who he’ll give the shirt to. It really could go either way. We’re curious to know what you think. Let us know in the comments section down below.
