Klopp picks one word to describe his first year in charge of Liverpool

How would you describe Jurgen Klopp’s first 12 months at the helm of our football club?

Emotional? Impressive? Relentless? … Heavy metal?

According to the German, one word sticks out above all others — BUSY!

“Busy, I have not a lot to do with the life around (football). My car knows the way to the training ground and back! But it’s great. I couldn’t have imagined that I would have had the opportunity to work for a club like Liverpool, it’s not possible when you start working,” he said (Echo)

“So I’m really thankful I’ve got the opportunity to do this.

It’s easy to see why he thinks that. He’s had to reinvigorate a club that had lost its way when he took charge last October. He’s been to two cup finals and been through all the travel and midweek fixtures that they entail, and he has had to completely overhaul the playing staff.

Hopefully, with no European football this season Klopp will find time to unwind a bit and start to have some time away from the training pitch.

We’re huge admirers of what he’s doing, but it’s never healthy for someone to live and die by their work. We want him to be around for a long time yet and a hectic and high-stress lifestyle is not conducive to that!
