Jurgen Klopp adamant that Liverpool have not hit 100 percent yet

Jurgen Klopp has insisted that we have still not performed at 100% this season.

Despite taking 20 points from a difficult start that’s included games against Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Spurs, and last season’s champions Leicester, the German boss is not satisfied.

And he is right not to be satisfied. We have still only kept one clean sheet all season, and that loss to Burnley in the second game of the season still haunts the fanbase.

Even in some of our wins, we have been far from perfect. The win against Arsenal on the opening day saw us outplayed in large parts of the game, and we weren’t anywhere near our best against Swansea in the 2-1 win last month.

“We need to get better. Nothing we have done so far has come close to 100%,” said Klopp.

“Nobody in the dressing room feels that it’s not possible for us to play better. At Swansea in the first half, we were far away from the rhythm. Burnley wasn’t good, Man United wasn’t good.

“A lot of people said the last 10 minutes against West Brom could have been better and I’m sure it could have been. My job is to use the qualities of the players and show them the right way.

“We are on the way. We have to accept a few things that don’t work. There are a lot of things to think about.” (Echo)

All that said, we are still way ahead of where we were 12 months ago. There is no reason to think we won’t be firing on all cylinders in the coming weeks and months.
