Liverpool’s chances of acquiring Christian Pulisic in January appear slim, at best.

Borussia Dortmund, who own the teenage American starlet,  have warned us off – with Jurgen Klopp (the playmaker’s former manager) a keen admirer.

BVB sporting director Michael Zorc told Bild, in no uncertain terms: “It’s not worth the effort for Liverpool.”

With Coutinho injured and out until the New Year, and with Sadio Mane set to miss eight games due to his participation at the AFCON – our attacking midfield options are looking slightly thinner.

We’ve still got the likes of Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana, but without Coutinho, our ‘diminutive, tricky playmaker’ possibilities are slim.

Liverpool tried to buy Pulisic in the summer and there’s strong suggestions we’ll go back in January, but it’ll surely take a monumental sum to convince the Bundesliga giants.

If an offer was accepted, we reckon the player would jump at the chance to reunite with Klopp, however.
