Klopp proves commitment to Liverpool with ambitious objective

There was never any danger of losing Jurgen Klopp any time soon but it’s always great to hear him reiterate how he is in this for the long haul.

It was always going to be a long-term project with the German and no matter how long that turns out to be, we have faith that he is the one to bring success to Liverpool.

That said, the remainder of the season and his work in the summer transfer window could prove to be decisive moments in his Anfield tenure and telling periods in terms of the direction this club is heading in.

Nevertheless, Klopp is positive that every individual affiliated with the Reds is on the same page in terms of where they are heading and how they are going about doing so.

“I’m not experienced in other situations where you don’t get time,” Klopp told the Liverpool Echo.

“I have always had this. I’ve always been on a long contract, as long as I wanted, and I have no idea why exactly it happened to me.”

“Liverpool as a club wants to have a long relationship with its manager but as always it all depends on success. If we cannot win anything or even come close to big things over the next few years then it will be difficult to go for it.”

“But in this moment everyone is absolutely convinced about going for it with this manager, this team and these coaches. With a few changes we believe we can reach the highest and that is what we are all working for. We think we know that it will happen.”

“But we have to fill the period between now and then with as many wonderful performances as possible. That will make it easier for the people to wait.”

Liverpool fans should have mastered the art of patience by now given how previous seasons have panned out. The feeling is that we are close, seriously close to cementing our place as regular title contenders.

That isn’t to say a title is just around the corner, though. It’s worth remembering just how tough the Premier League is and also the fact that we aren’t the only big club hurting over a spell without some silverware.

Klopp’s approach is realistic yet just promising and calculated enough to give us belief that we will continue to progress.
