First thing’s first: there’s been absolutely no proper reports that Liverpool are even interested in Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – let alone that we’ve finalised a deal.
But yesterday, ‘Liverpool Twitter’ went crazy when ‘ITK’ Graeme Kelly claimed that a deal to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield was done…
Oxlade Chamberlain lads, feel bad saying it, been told today it’s done. Got no fee info like.

This guy got the Brendan Rodgers sacking right (it’s pinned to his home page), but he’s not exactly Paul Joyce or James Pearce in terms of reliability.
Still, his claim got Liverpool fans talking on Twitter, especially considering a previous report in the Telegraph suggesting he’d cost us £35m.
The general consensus seemed to be that for anything under £20m, fans would take him, with his contract expiring in 2018, but a heftier fee would be frowned upon..
It’s important to note that when asked about the Englishman in January, Jurgen Klopp claimed he had zero interest, but this hasn’t stopped fans debating the issue.
Here’s some of the feedback:
@elliotrylands @GraemeKelly1 If the price is right could be a great signing but the 35m being said is waaaaaaaaaay too much

@GlenMcC93 @elliotrylands @GraemeKelly1 I'm sure it'll be less than £35m, but even if he his, i trust klopp. I can't lie when we signed mane i was like WTF? £34m? Now i love him.

@GraemeKelly1 If we can keep him fit and it's a decent price he'd be a decent signing.

@theonionlives @GraemeKelly1 Fitness is a big issue. Don't mind the player, if he can improve his output. Fee may throw some ppl out of orbit, but I don't much care

@Spena1975 @GraemeKelly1 @LFCGrumpyfrog Donkey. Over rated English player like most of them.

@GraemeKelly1 Fuck sake. Linked with Keita and van dijk, end up signing a broken and shit ox. Typical lfc. When will we learn?

@LFC4ewr @klopp810 @GraemeKelly1 Ox is a quality player tho Wenger has just mismanaged him he can play 3/4 positions an has CL experience top signing for me
— PENALTYPOOL (@OldManTerence) April 15, 2017
@GraemeKelly1 Ox can play, can run, versatile, determined, versatile, has some dribble, English…depending on the fee, like it.

@GraemeKelly1 Just a theory but another Wijnaldum/Lallana type player which honestly I like, already played well in CM for arsenal so to me a god move

@gavdabLFC @GraemeKelly1 terrible end product though. Can get us up the pitch quickly though, adequate replacement for mane.
